1. WHICH TOOL DO YOU NEED
Rest assured: there's no need for expensive tools: we've specially designed this project so that it can be completed using standard tools! Here's the list:
- Circular saw
- Powerdrill
- Clamps
- Router table (or chisels)
- Orbital sander (or sheet sander)
Nothing else!

This is where the magic happens: the opening system using the rods! You will need the rods listed below for this:

- The work on these pieces is minimized:Four holes on each piece using a drill bit (aligned with rod diameter - adjust if using different rod diameter).Mortise work following the pattern for the opening-closing mechanism.
- To obtain the dimensions of the holes and their location, as well as the drill bit to be used, please refer to the cutting diagram and 1:1 scale pattern of these two parts.
The progressive opening/closing of the box is designed using an ingenious groove-and- pivot system.The latter consists of two parts:- a non-through hole designed to eventually receive a pivota- groove made with a router or drill bitPlease refer to the patterns on the various parts to identify the precise measurements and locations.
